Westrow York secures its place in the prestigious L’Oréal Colour Trophy Men’s Image Award 2016 regional final
Westrow has been celebrating recently with the news that a member of its award-winning Artistic Team has made it through the first round and into the semi-finals of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Men’s Image Award 2016. Jody Toner, Artistic Director, Westrow York, will now go head to head with salons in the area at the North Eastern Backstage Live Final to be held on Sunday 10 April at Royal Armouries International in Leeds, where he will be competing in the L’Oréal Men’s Image Award Category.
In the first round, hundreds of photographic images from across the country were judged by the most influential names in hairdressing, including celebrity coiffeur, Charles Worthington MBE. The Regional Final will see Jody showcase his session skills in the next stage of the competition. Competitors are tasked with creating a live model look, which demonstrates Autumn/Winter 2016/17 hair and fashion trends. The winning look must serve as an inspiration to both clients and hairdressers.
From these live heats the top two salons will progress in the competition to compete at the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final to be held on 13 June in London. This stage leaves them just one step away from scooping the unparalleled prize of national media exposure, glamorous fashion shoots and much more.
Said Westrow Director, Steve Rowbottom: “We are ecstatic to have Westrow York competing in the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Regional Final. There is a real sense of excitement and achievement in the salons and we hope this year will be another award-winning one for the salon group.”
