Happy Birthday Haus
Words by Laura Irving
The team at Haus Estate Agents are getting ready to celebrate their second birthday in their flagship premises on Renshaw Street.
‘It’s hard to believe two years have gone by since we moved here’ says Director Edward Irving. ‘On January 2nd 2014, Haus and Liverpool Student Lets opened the doors to its newly renovated 5,000 square foot offices with a huge 40-metre shop front on one of Liverpool’s main thoroughfares in and out of the city. Two years on we’ve more than tripled our property portfolio and team.’
‘We chose the site of the old department store Rapid Hardware due to its size and location but the dilapidated building needed a lot of work. Most of the fixtures and fittings from the store were still in place including the lighting department complete with ceiling roses, wallpaper display areas and original signage. We had an intense six weeks onsite getting the building ready for our January launch.’ Says Edward ‘It was hard work getting everything ready and adjusting to the space after being in a much smaller premises on Hope Street but we are so proud of it’
Haus Liverpool was founded in 2012 by Edward Irving. Edward is a qualified Solicitor who has owned and let out student property for a number of years and decided that there was a gap in the market for an agent who could specialise in the growing student sector and so Liverpool Student Lets was born. The company was founded on an ethos of professionalism, honesty and efficiency.
Originally based on Hope Street, Liverpool Student Lets quickly established itself as a trusted brand and its position in the marketplace was consolidated by bringing in business from landlords disaffected by their current agent. With minimal advertising and word-of-mouth recommendations, Liverpool Student Lets quickly took over a sizeable proportion of the student accommodation sector in Liverpool and the business has since expanded into a full estate agents offering Residential Sales and Lettings also.
‘We have enjoyed seeing the regeneration of Renshaw Street over the last two years and are proud to be part of the resurgence of so many independent businesses in the city’ says Business Development Manager Laura Irving ‘Customers enjoy coming into the branch and we like to offer face to face time with property owners, developers, landlords and tenants as well as also providing everything they need over the phone or online for those who live out the area or are pressed for time.’
At the core of everything Haus does is the determination to make our customers happy and they now employ a team of 6 highly trained property professionals who specialise in providing the best in customer service and giving landlords and vendors the efficient service they deserve.
‘Having a city centre location and being competitive on price means we can offer customers deals they won’t get elsewhere alongside the service they can expect from a family business focused on their needs.’ Says Laura ‘Being members of networking groups like Downtown in Business means we can develop long term relationships and become part of the community. We’re already seeing the benefits of getting involved with Downtown and attending events like Rise and Grind and Sexy Networking.’
‘The most recent ‘addition’ to the Haus team is a taxi that can be seen in and around the city centre. If you spot our taxi and tweet us where you saw it @HausLpool you could win a bottle of bubbly!’
Downtown members can take advantage of Haus’s current offer to sell their property for just £999 including VAT . For more information just give the team a call on 0151 559 111
